• MSc Human Computer Interaction – University of Bath
This course offers 12 months’ work experience as well as the academic experience at university. If you opt for the placements programme, the university will begin to work with you as soon as you receive your formal offer from the University. They have opportunities available both within the UK and overseas. You will need to secure a placement by the end of the taught component of your degree programme, giving you plenty of time to find a suitable placement.
You will be fully supported throughout the applications process by the university’s professional placements support team. Once on placement you will be required to submit reports on your progress and the university will be requesting feedback on your performance from your placement employer, these form an assessed component of your placement.
• MSc Health Psychology – University of Bath
The course is one of the only accredited MSc Health Psychology degrees offering a placement. The placement is 4 months in duration, and students are fully supported before and during their placement. The university’s dedicated placements team ensure students are not only allocated placements, but are prepared before starting their placement through seminars and meetings with their placement tutor. This support continues over the 4 months, making sure students are happy and getting the most from their placement experience.
• College of Science and Engineering department – University of Leicester
The SEEDS (Space Exploration Development Systems) international placement is an optional extra project during which you will work in multidisciplinary teams on topical space exploration research projects, designed in collaboration with advisors from the space industry.
Leicester’s partners in SEEDS are the Politecnico di Torino in Italy and the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace in France. All three institutions have strong links with the space industry, a heritage of space research and exploration, and high-level expertise in the delivery of teaching. You will spend two months at each institution and will be required to cover basic travel and subsistence costs. The course is taught in English at all three sites.
• Computing with Placement (MSc) – University of Cardiff
This programme provides the opportunity to undertake a paid 7-12 month experience as an IT professional for students who successfully find a suitable placement. This MSc Computing offers students a balance of software engineering skills and technical abilities required for a future career in Software Development.
• MSc Computing and IT Management with Placement – University of Cardiff
Designed for graduates who want to move into computing from another discipline, MSc Computing and IT Management provides you with a broad technical knowledge and a sound business context for managing IT systems.
Students may choose to apply for a paid 7-12 month professional work placement to be undertaken on completion of Spring semester and before completing the MSc course with a 60-credit dissertation. This provides valuable work experience to develop your IT Professional skills.

You study with students from all around the world and have the option to do a full-time MSc or improve your experience and employability with a 12-month additional placement.
During your placement you improve your practical management skills and employability, gaining real experience in industry. We help you secure a placement by running employability workshops and have dedicated placement team to support you. • MSc Enterprise Management – University College Birmingham
The Enterprise Management MSc/PGDip has been developed in partnership with industry professionals to give you the business knowledge and work experience you need to advance in management positions in the enterprise service sector.
This course offers an optional six-month placement that will also give you the skills to set up your own business and learn how to grow and develop strategically. On this course you will have the opportunity to complete a placement and apply your learning within an HR environment. The work placement is a key element related to some of the units studied. The university’s Placements Office will support you in maintaining and developing business contacts, advise you of vacancies and help you prepare for interviews and other selection methods.
